Ghost town is a bit too much, it's not as buzzing as before, that's for sure, but definitely not a ghost town. Compared with other boards i used to, or still frequent, this place is still very much alive. The Gamebanshee forums, now that's a ghost town, or Sorcerer's Place, just to name a few. Others have completely died, like the Silver River, or Unforgotten Realms. But it's exactly like i said before, all the boards i mentioned above, are RPG related, and like it or not, RPG is slowly dying a painful death, and the boards with an RPG theme along with it.

I'm a member over on the Rome Total Realism forums, and right now that place is buzzing with activities, thanks to all sorts of community features like a battlesystem, guilds, and arcade games in which members can participate, the soon to be released final version 7.0 of RTR, and last but not least, the release of Medieval TW 2. Come back there a year from now, when the excitement of MTW2 and RTR 7.0 has faded away, and the place will be a whole lot more quiet, basically because people have found a new game, and a new community to go with it. I guess sooner or later that's the fate of all messageboards.

Well, maybe not FOK, there's so much crap going on over there, i wouldn't even know in which thread to post first.
[/QUOTE]But RPG's have "died" before only to be revitalised by certain games, spawning an influx of people and a resurgance of new titles. I don't think RPG games could ever die forever...it's not a fad or a trend, and sure it does have it's dry periods but to go away and leave that market empty forever and ever would be strange in my mind. I mean, how can RPG games be replaces since they are unique in themselves?
