I've noticed with any monitor I've had, regular and LCD, that if you have something magnetic near it, it will lighten the side of the screen, or change the colors. Do you have another monitor, or a TV, or a radio, or speakers, etc. near it? Just a thought is all. Hope you can figure it out!
