I'd sure as hell hate to think that's real...though I can't say I'd doubt it. One of the things I hate about going to the range sometimes is the periodic presence of complete and total cherries who think having the cash to buy a gun means that they ought to have one and are absolutely clueless about even the most rudimentary aspects of firearms safety.

The range I used to frequent in Virginia got real slack about having someone on the staff act as the range officer to ensure these imbeciles didn't shoot themselves or others. The one I go to now in Tennessee is much more serious about it, and they do so with out being draconian...the other end of the spectrum on range safety being ranges where the staff assumes you're an utter imbecile the moment you walk into the place, who act like you have no business having a loaded firearm in your hand, and who act like if it weren't for them you'd blow your head off.
