I've played so many CRPGs where the potions just gather
dust in the players' packs...so I finally snapped and swore
to myself that this game I was going to use potions.
My favorites are oil of speed and potion of defense,
either one of which allows me (Paladin) to deal with
a roomful of bad guys with relative ease. I'm trying
very hard to avoid hoarding potions, and any that I find
get loaded into the quick-item slots and used on the first
fight that seems even a little difficult.
As others have remarked, there are always more...
I never buy 'em, prices are a little high for a one-shot
item. I sell them routinely, always ones that aren't usable
in combat. Infravision and the like - I'd rather have cash...
