Yeah but mages can't wear much protective clothing as to a knight, however the magic that they cast on the armour would vibrate dramaticly hurting hte knight badly. Range wouldn't be good against a knight because the arrows need to be precise to penetrate full steel armour. Besides, Knights get to use the same weapon over and over again whereas the archer and mage need to restock on supplies before fighting.

Sounds an awful lot like you've been playing Runescape, cause I don't know too many other games where armour causes you to be more affected by damaging magic or where bows take any more of a penalty against heavy armour than any other weapon. In any case, the fighter can only use those advatanges if he can get close enough to the offending archer/mage. An archer would use his keen senses to hear the fighter with his loud armour coming and take him out with, if not normal, magic lighting arrows. The mage (we must assume he's high level, since a low level mage is almost worthless in battle)would see him coming with his intelligence, or would see into the future weeks ahead of time and be ready for the fighter.
Yeah a bit.. But i do know that arrows would have a hard time getting through the armour. Knights can also throw their weapons too making them an archer and a knight Then after the clock hits 3, we all shake hands and go in the nearest pub to watch England getting thwarted by Australia.
