hehe...My interpretation (springing from my post above) was that these are either
1) Disgraceful presidents (Grant, Nixon), or
2) men who did little other than fill the office for 4-8 years.
Thus, we're reminded that the presidency is a position held by great and poor leaders alike.
and Dirty Meg likes to point out that Grover Cleveland had 2 non-consecutive terms, IIRC, which changes the number of presidents we've actually had.
