I don't know, I'd also read somewhere in one of the readme-files that you can't even use your BG1-created character in the ToB-part; and adding to that the fact that not much will be added to BG2 itself now that you can't carry over your BG1-party, I have the feeling I'll be bored with BGT long before the Ascension mod will rear its ugly head for the first time.
