When I'm in civilisation I shower once a day (well, at night actually). But over the past couple of months I've been doing alot of travelling and tent-living and so don't get such frequent access to showers. At first I felt kinda filthy going unwashed for several days at a stretch, but to be honest you get used to the 'old sweat' feeling on your skin after a day or two. I think alot of the 'dirty' feeling is psychological, and as I think Mel pointed out a little bit of old sweat isn't all that unhygienic at all. However, I do use a whole bunch of deodorant ('shower in a can'

) so that I don't smell bad, that's just considerate for both myself and for the people that I'm close to. I really do enjoy a nice hot shower on a winter's night though (or a cold one in summer), so if anything I shower once a day just for the pleasure of it.
Oh, and Mel and Aelia, might I suggest a no-holds-barred, hair-whipping, nail scratching catfight in order to decide whose opinion is correct? Preferably whilst in the shower in order to lend it relevance to the debate. Naturally I will be on-hand to film the event for the sake of historical documentation, you understand
