Contrary to some other people, I at least have enough humility and sense of reality to recognise I would be no good at writing books (although I admit anyone could write some of the drivel that actually makes it to print these days).
If there ever comes a point in my life where I think I could write something on an equal level with say Ian McEwan, A.S. Byatt, Italo Calvino, Thomas Pynchon or Umberto Eco, I'll get back to you...
