I know that many people love David Eddings, but he drives me crazy. Maybe his characters are reat, but I would strongly disagree that his fantasy world is that great. IMHO, it's too simple. And yes, he wrote two long series and yes, they were exactly the same in the end.

Disagree if you like, but constructively please.

And I really like Jordon, though I do get sick of how each character has "characteristic actions". I have ceased to read any paragraph that contain any variation on the words "he scratched his short beard and wondered if he would ever get used to it". But I've read all 10 books at least 2-3 times, dork that I am.
