Eddings is by far the best author I have read. His stories are good, His characters are well developed and likeable. The interaction betweeen them is well done. And Eddings is easy to read. And of all the authors, he has the most consistent and well developed world. Unfortunately, The Belgariad/Mallorean and Elenium/Tamuli although very different end up being the same idea in the end.

Robert Jordan: How I love to hate him. The Wheel of Time series was supposed to be a trilogy, so why are we now on book ten or something absurd? The story is so convoluted and complicated now that you forget most of it while you're reading it. I read the first three books, then the fourth. But in the wait between the fourth and the fifth, I forgot some of the story, so I reread them. Then when the seventh came out I had to do it again. I refuse to read them again until he FINISHES the darn saga.
