I know EXACTLY what you mean there, but the "preacher" went the other way and (right in front of the coffin) told us all how my friend was burning away in hell. It then turned into a recruitment ceremony. Complete joke.
Dragonmage- We had an Irish wake for my grandmother amongs us grandchildren and it was the best thing we ever could have done. Told stories, laughed, cried, and drank like fish. She would have loved it, and it helped us all out a lot
As for the main question, take any usable (albiet very few) parts that I have available and cremate the rest. Do what you will with the ashes.
