basically whats the worst way you have ever been shot down by the opposite sex (or same sex depending on your preference)?
The worst thing that ever happened to me was when I was at a bar with a couple friends and there were some girls looking over our way kind of checking us out and stuff for about an hour, so being the only non-antisocial member of the group I was in I went over to spark up a conversation. So i get over and there and Im like "Hey Ive seen you girls sitting here for awhile, and I was just wondering what kind of guy would keep a bunch of pretty girls like you waiting all night." (pretty lame I know but some of us are good at that sort of thing and some of us aren't. Its pretty obvious which category I fit into, but it never hurts to try.) so at saying that the two girls looked at each other and the one replied "well what kind of guy is your friend, we've been waiting for him to come talk to us all night?" (needless to say it was pretty harsh, but at least my one friend got a date for the following weekend.)
