I really expected more of that. IMHO, there were too many cool special effects and too little plot and storyline! I considered it rather cheap and ridiculous at times. Whenever a bit of tension was building up, Jaja did something funny, or made a funny mistake. I was really disappointed by that movie.

Kaz, I agree with you. I didn't think it was a really bad movie, but it wasn't a
Star Wars movie, if you know what I mean. Jar-Jar was truly dire. So even though it didn't 'suck big time'

it was a huge disappointment - it should have been so much more. I can't see 6 yr old kids worshipping it for their entire lives in the same way that Star Wars affected my generation.... (I was 6 in 1977)
Another big disappointment was Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes. Again, not a completely dire film, but just not as good as it ought to have been.
