All of my names come from the PnP days. None of them had any special meaning - I just tried to think of appropriate sounding names for the character and class.

Balinor Bergeron - Ranger Lord - Started out as my favorite character. I rolled 18 for STR and CON and straight 17's for everything else (unbelievable). Ended up dying a very stupid death - so also my biggest disappointment. The name Balinor was derived from the Valinor elves in The Silmarillon.
Cerek Tolgar - Barbarian - Started adventuring career in the same dungeon as Balinor and the two became life-long friends. I never played one without the other until Balinor's untimely demise. Cerek went on to become an extremely tough PnP character and was the closest thing to a PnP Wizard Slayer you could find.

Other notable characters I played:
Zachary Thorrson - Cleric of Odin - A string of events by different (and overly-generous) DM's led Zachary to believe he was the Chosen of Odin. He was fun to play, but was only slightly less annoying than Anomen.
Gramluk Ironfist - Dwarven fighter - Travelled with Zachary some, when he could stand him.
Keporith Quickfinger - Halfling thief.
SKRAG - Half-ogre fighter. Long time Wolverine fans should understand the name (or I can provide explanation if you really want to know).
