It is really easy if you can put on a good act to get people to sign something like that. At that point, they will listen to the salesman moreso than think about what was just said or what the paper actually says.
For a joke, and actually it was a birthday present for a guy who managaged the factory I was working in at the time, I got a girl to sign a paper, thinking it had something to do with her paycheck. She never even read what was printed clearly on the paper...which was that she was signing a contract to be the floor manager's sex slave for the day. I don't think I have ever seen a man smile so big when I delivered his present to him, and we teased her for a long time after that. No, she was not even a blond and yes she was literate.
