Welcome to the future, clouds.
I'm getting my new system tomorrow... I can't wait to get rid of this beast!
Does anyone know of a good way to transfer files from one computer to another? Burning CD's work, or is there a less time consuming way to do things?
It falls under burning CDs, but if you use a program like WinRAR or WinACE to compress the files, you can use a lot less CDs, and consequently, time. Or you could just throw a quick network together and transfer files that way.
I got an upgrade recently, and I'm loving it. F.E.A.R. on maxed settings is something to behold.
I found little difference in compressing files in order to use less space when burning to a cd. Maybe 1mb in difference on like 703mb movies (I was trying to make them fit on the cd and couldn't shave off what I wanted no matter what). Is it just movie files that don't compress very well or is this normal? Or is there some secret I've yet to uncover about good compression procedures. I've tried win ace, rar and zip and tried almost all settings (the ones that take longer etc.) and I notice little to no change. Anyone have experience with this?
