Detroit's four hours away (depending on how you drive), and you've got the benefits of another major city (including Greektown).
Buffalo is a couple of hours away as well, and you've got Niagara Falls and the home of real buffalo wings.
Go north, and you're into God's country. Barrie and beyond is quite beautiful and well worth spending time in the outdoors.
