?! This strikes me odd, for three reasons: First, I never heard this before. Second, I've heard reports about non-Monks killing [ ToB Golem Type ] with their bare fists. I accidently do it sometimes, after removing a temporary weapon and forgetting to switch to my primary again before I just happen to knock a poor old goblin or kobold unconscious. It works very much like the sleep spells.
