Back when I was young, you'd see people all over, you couldn't walk a street without running in at least 10 trick or treaters. Most houses were decorated, and candies were plentifull. I'd get back with bags full.

Now these days, I'm surprised if I get visited by 10 people. If two houses on the same streets have people giving candies it's considered luck.
Newer neighborhoods, at least over here, are swarmed with little guys. The streets are just littered with them. 2 boxes of 500 candies last year, and we had to turn out the lights... we only gave out 2 candies per kid too. This year though, since I'm in an older neighborhood with less kids, we got 1 person ring the doorbell, but since we didn't have any candy we didn't answer.
