Not at all. I am suggesting that if you follow the whim of media and commercialism you will generally find you have to "spice up the wardrobe" without knowing why you had to do it. Also you will only buy a brief relief from the ghost that consumes us all - the need to feel accepted. I just wanted to say that rather than focus you choice on what other people think (let's face it - the seller is hardly a neutral witness) it is better to focus the choices on yourself and your own well-being. That way (God forbid) you may actually wind up buying stuff you may want to wear again after giving it a resting period. Or combine backwards with your old wardrobe. Why? Because your clothes reflects you and not a glossy poster image in Cosmo. Looking at the remainder of your post I gather that you actually agree to some extend.
