this battle is comepletly pointless! not only is there no reward after this battle (except for self gratitude) but the damn wizard and his goonies will reapear if you brother his grave again! and i do not want to sound like a bragard (because maybe my version has a bug or something) but the battle was suprisingly easy. this is right after finishing up the nashkel mines with no party member above level 3. what i did was send my two whimpies (jaheira and xian) out of the imediate battle area so they are safe, and have my other four members take care of these phoenix guards. it turns out that these guards (who pack a whollup) can be killed with regular old arrows. of course you have to keep your distance and keep moving, or else this little battle will turn into a fiasco. nonetheless, just take out these guards with good old-fashion arrows and thats...that! oh, and there might be a few innocent frohlicking little kids and brainless commoners who get fried but... hey anything to boost that self esteem right?
