As andrewas says, he's only found in BG1. (Unless you play the tutorial, apparently). He's an enchanter mage, which really limited his spells (no invocation/evocation!!) so no great loss about not having him in BG2. I'm glad the one pure mage they allowed to cross over was Edwin, although I would have liked to have kept Dynaheir all the way through BG2 and ToB. Oh well...
