We won again as well, in one of the most boring matches i've ever seen. Playing against lesser opponents who dig themselves in around their own penaltybox, with no intentions whatsoever of trying to score, is a necessary evil. Still, in the end we got our three points, thanks to a fantastic goal from van Nistelrooy. The best part of this evening though, is that our only rivals for winning the group, the Czechs, lost 2-0 against Romania, which gives us a 4 point edge over them now, and almost a certain worldcup berth, while the Czechs will have to struggle to maintain their second spot.
So even after watching a dull match, there's plenty of reason to celebrate.
