Happened once, but I didn't take the opportunity to manipulate the dream or anything. In fact, later on, I forgot that I had realised it was a dream altogether and went back to thinking it was real.
But there is this very peculiar thing that happens to me about once a month while dreaming. While slowly drifting off - not exactly sleeping, but a similar state of mind - I can see nothing but a void. Sometimes a black void, sometimes a white void, heck, I've even experienced an orange void before (with a curious transparent rabbit hole in the middle, I may add ). After a few seconds of looking into this void, I hear a violent sound; for example an earthquake or a drill, followed by the most horrendous pain - a really sharp, stinging pain - either on my leg or arm. The pain is so intense that it wakes me up... and then back in my room I can still feel the ongoing pain for many seconds (despite the fact I'm wide awake), as if someone had stabbed me in the leg in my sleep and vanished. I mean, where the hell did this pain come from? Does my brain cause artificial pain to my body as a defense system to wake me up? (Well, that's my theory anyway )
