Try WD40 or similar on the valve / solenoid / switches Larry it may just be sticking, and check all the wires and soldering joints ect.

If / when you do get it back up and running Larry really take time to get the washing machine balanced by adjusting the feet. Near enough is NOT good enough. Vibration is the #1 killer of washing machines because people do not take the time to get the balance perfect and check on the adjustment every few months.
