Ok, can you shed some light on the situation please.
The posted log is clearly showing the following info:
1. vendor numeric id = 1 (intel)
2. features on chip = 17 (cpu, must be an intel P4 with HTT)
3. sockets = 1 (cpu)
4. cores = 1 (cpu again)
5. processors = 1 (realative to above lines)
6. chip = GenuineIntel (direct read from cpu)
7. standard (2) = (on chip L1 and L2 memory size and location)
8. extended (4)= (main memory size and location relative to cpu)
Why in the 9hells would a game need to know this? Why would said game need this in a log?
This looks to me from my standpoint, a direct cpu boot read. Why? Who else gets to see it? Are we facing yet another play on the cpuid lawsuit?
IMO This should not be happening! [/QUOTE]Not really much I can shed light on. All I know is that that folder was created for everyone who Downloaded the latest WoW patch. I haven't heard an official reason from Blizzard but supposedly,
supposedly it is supposed to prevent game hacks and such. How it does that I don't know. I know nothing about computers to be honest.
