I'm not so sure that he got what he deserved at this point. Reports are coming in that this guy was unarmed and "crying with fear" before he was gunned down. I still feel that restraining him, then unloading 5 bullets into him is a little excessive without knowing more information about this first!
Sure, he's Asian, was running away from armed police in a subway so close to the terrorist attacks and was wearing a coat, does that make him a terrorist? I think not. There could be lots of viable reasons why he was running from them - sure it was a very stupid thing to do, but we'd best hope that this was not an innocent man and the police made the right call.
If the police have shot an killed an innocent asian guy, we can expect serious reprisals.

Since we are in the GD forum, and not the CE forum I'll try to be nice.
Go read the lives of the London Bombers from the last attack, in the CE forum. Then rethink what you claim about your post above. And remember, the hatred for the crown is deeper then that of the red, white and blue!
On a side note, if you would have been in charge back in the day, we would not celebrate our war of independence, it would have been handed to us on a silver and gold platter! [/QUOTE]Please don't come on here and lecture me Felix. You may have you own strong beliefs about all of this, but that does not make your opinions correct and mine completely wrong.
From the BBC website:
Quote:
Police have said it is not yet clear if he was one of four bombing suspects shown on newly released CCTV footage.

A shoot to kill policy is already worrying Muslim leaders, and one member of the council has already stated "There may well be reasons why the police felt it necessary to unload five shots into the man and shoot him dead, but they need to make those reasons clear."
Can you not see the potential race-related damage that killing someone who might not be connected to the London bombings will cause? I completely understand the difficulty of the situation for the police in that they had to make a snap decision and I am not saying that they made the wrong call - I am simply worried about the potential repercussions that could arise from this
if this man was innocent.
