Music, at least what you hear on the radio (no matter what genre/station) is overrated. During an 8 hour shift hearing half a dozen bands (or more) 4 or 5 times (at least) is ridiculous. What do they think we are, American Idiots?
The latest Greenday, U2, and Beastie Boys (and I'm guessing Coldplay) are decent enough Cd's but Coldplay's CD has hardly been out a month and I'm already sick of it. Sure, it set internet presales records, but it's also setting records for how fast a CD will be played into the ground and beyond...
As for various styles of music, I like stuff from across the board, with the exception to the gangsta/thug rap, which I have no taste for. Other than that it's fair game
