Al di Meola is good.
Also have to put SRV, Carlos Santana and Hendrix on the list, but another personal favorite who I think is quite underrated, though massively technical in his style of play is Eric Johnson. I walked into a bar, heard three or four chords and immediately knew it was him, no question asked
