I never understood why Michael Moore's sort of "A Current Affair" style of ambush journalism pays off with the public at large. He runs up to prominent people with a microphone demanding unexpected, invasive, unfair questions of people in public, and then throws sarcastic "well isn't THAT suspicious" looks at the camera when they refuse to answer. All it serves to do is humiliate everyone involved, which I suspect is the goal.
