Indeed - this is bad math. First, it should be pointed out that students don't have 8 hours sleep a night...They just don't.

Second, you have already account for 8 hours of Sunday, so why did you take it off again? You can't take of 8 hours at the start then minus days which already have 8 hours less. Sickness = random, no one spends 3 hours in the bathroom (if they can help it)...etc. etc.
