Get a portable hard drive, cost like 150$ 200gb (Over here at least) and Norton Ghost. You can use it to zip up you whole hd and port it over to the laptop... and not only that, your system setup from the oldie can be set up on the new computer...

I don't mind spending $$$ on an external drive as long as it's portable and EASY to access (ie USB would be good). That way I get to keep my file structure etc. that I currently have in my 80GB drive. [/QUOTE]The vast majority of portable HDs use USB connectivity and many weigh less than a pound with 40+ GB capacity.
