I dunno about that with the newer cars, pritchke. I had to get a key made for my 2005 Accord and not only did they want me to bring all my keys in but the car had to be there as well. It's the age of the electronic chip in the key (costs a LOT more for copies now, of course) and they had to reset all my keys with the car.

Not sure what they'd do if I just called in and asked for a key with the vin number. Is this a news item you've read someplace?
