You have to get your head shrunk before they even consider it. And even then you have to prove you can function as the target gender for at least a year, and with waiting lists over two years long for NHS surgery and that's the basic stuff.. To awnser your question, no. Well not in the near future at least.

Now to do with the names, no I don't need permission, I'm old enough and ugly enough to DIY, and there's no legal way to change your name in england.. Your name is whatever you are know as, so as long as I stop being known by my old name I can pickup a new one right off the bat..

To get my new name on my passport there's got to be evidence that I've stopped using my old name and evidence that I'll be known by the new name, deed poll is the nearest you get to offcaily changing your name here.


Yes I know Keita is normaly a female name, but I'll redefine it.
