If that happens it'd be a real atmosphere, we'd get a real impression of what people are like, not a calculated and planned impression of a person's opinion (a post on a message forum).
I don't see why finding out what someone is really like is a bad thing.
I'd rather have a real atmosphere than a phony, "everybody's friendly for no apparent reason" atmosphere any day of the week/year/century.
