I've been told that really depends on where you are living. Here in the Netherlands you are taking a risk only boiling your egg for 4-6 minutes. Apparently up in Norway they barely even know what salmonella is. Same with the actual chicken, of course, though not many Norwegians would eat that raw I don't think.
