Unfortunately, I can't read the link, not being an AOL member. But...
People who abuse any system should take a hit. But don't blame the system... blame the people. Capitalism is what brought you things like television, radio, modern medecine, computers, roads, and many more conveniences. It's how you get fresh fruit in the middle of winter, and how you get fish and seafood to eat even if you're hundreds of miles away from where you could catch some. And for those folks on the coast, it's how you get varieties of meat, even though it's all far away.
Getting rid of it means getting rid of any more future advances unless everyone agrees it should happen. And in today's world, it won't. Governments wouldn't build roads just to build them. They build them to promote trade, and commerce, and travel, and tourism... that's capitalism, working hard.
It's what lets your boss give you a raise for working hard so that you won't defect and go to a competitor. It's what gives you a choice of schools to attend, of restaurants to go to, of movies to see, of CDs to buy and listen to, and of radio stations to listen to.
Capitalism allows individuals to do those things, providing those opportunities. Individuals form companies in order to provide those opportunities more effectively. And just like any tool, they can be used for good or for bad.
So give the bad ones a kick in the nads. Not all of 'em, though, or you'll be kicking too many good and useful ones along the way.
Hmmm... guess I'm really a capitalist at heart
