Because they keep a database on the files that are shared they know and sort of agree with what users are doing with it. So they are sort of promoting illegal sharing. Simple as that. If they had done it as kazaa did, just distribute the program and then keep your hands of what users do with it, they would have been fine. [/QUOTE] As I said, Bittorrent cannot be shut down, purely because of its architecture. Servers maintain file databases, yes. But these servers aren't affiliated with each other or with Bittorrent. Those servers which carry illegal things can be shut down, but those which carry files they are allowed to redistribute have no reason to fear. Meaning that Bittorrent is here to stay.
