Sacred would be or could have been an interesting game unfortunately it is bugged to thy kingdom come so there... if you can work around it then it would be worth trying.
As for RPGs, you could check out Final Fantasy VIII if you haven't tried it. There's one for the PC, even FF7.
For others, the others have already mentioned great names. What about... Civ III? Yeah you asked for RPGs though. [img]smile.gif[/img]
