Pretend your talking to someone who doesn't have a clue about DOS.

Ok, no need to pretend

Could you tell me what to do, pretty please with a cherry on top?
Safe mode. You have to press some button on startup. I think it was F8 but I'm not sure.

I only know how to get in DOS in WinME and below. With a boot floppy and choose start without CD then. Then use cd .. till there's only c:/ at the prompt. Now type cd /windows/Desktop then do del filename. The filename will probably in 8 characters max. So you want to type dir to see what it is called. This might not be so in WinXP or if you have different desktops setup. Then the desktop will be in /windows/profiles/..../Desktop ... is your username. Hope that's clear. Be careful, don't delete anything you don't know and only do it if you're really sure you got the right thing. Hope this helps
