Hmm...how would the strongholds know that you're unavailable? Do the Shadow Thieves (or Bodhi) drop by your place of employment to give everyone the news? What would they say? "I'm sorry, but your leader is gone, we're not sure when or if they're going to come back. Mind stopping all your functions until they return?"
