Sounds great, ShadowChild, but why does the item carry the charges? Why have a sword cast one bout of magic missile when you can carry a wand that can cast 100? Same with the healing.
This game lacks powerful bastard swords. I suggest that you upgrade the enchantment to +3, maybe even +4.
Lightning damage sounds like a good idea, but
everything does fire damage. Well, not everything, but you know what I mean.
Maybe give the sword the same properties as the Drinker, and have a 5% chance to heal 17 points of damage to the wielder or something. Maybe a 10% chance to cast magic missile on successful hit.
