Also, make sure you don't have another monitor, or TV, near the monitor you are talking about. Must be a magnetic thing, but I noticed you can't have a TV too close to a monitor, or it screws with the side of your monitor it is close to.
How long have you had the monitor? It could be old (and all used up monitors go out in different ways LOL, I had one turn everything purple in its death throes LOL). Or you could have a defective monitor. Again make sure nothing magnetic is near it.
