That sounds a whole lot like the initial install not working correctly. If the file system is toast when you're getting started, it *WON'T* get better.
I'd be inclined to restart the process... wipe it completely (so you can get rid of the bad disk information and such) and start over, hopefully with the updated version of the OS.
I haven't read your other thread yet, so perhaps that might inspire to consider something else. Did you get Fedora directly from a download site, or was it a copy from someone else?
