Bard's Tale III on the 64... a lot more time was spent.
On the PC, all the MM series and a few others.
In the arcades... Double Dragon chewed up a lot of my quarters in college. Then they kept bumping up the difficulty level 'cause we were too good

And Galaga remains one of my all-time favorites, too.
Almost forgot... Yar's Revenge on Coleco was another favorite way to kill hours of time...
