*shudders* Sounds like a horrible experience. I hate it when that happens. Days like that is why I stopped taking network admin classes.
I'd switch to Linux myself if it wasn't for the fact that I regularly managed to crash it while using it at network administrator school. (not kidding, it'd last for about a week, then it'd crash so badly I had to format c: and reinstall...and then there is the time I had to reinstall thirteen times before the install finally worked completely)
Windows seems to be everywhere, though. Every place I've worked at or gone to school at has it installed. While it works fine for me, XP in particular is a resource hog on my home system, and I would have liked to have the choice. But oh, well, I'm stuck with Windows for now. Maybe sometime I'll get up the guts to try Linux again. Just need to learn a bit more about it, I think.
