Power-wise, Monks have only 3 stats:
STR: 18
DEX: 18
CON: 16
INT: who cares
WIS: makes no difference
CHA: could be anything

Monks are good (very weak when starting out, but gain a few levels and you'll be happy), the only thing I don't like about them is that they're all the same: If you tell me what level a Monk is and how many people are in the party, I (or any other experienced gamer) can pretty much tell you everything about them except the gender.
