Unmountable Boot Drive errors usually occur because of two possible conditions. Since you state that the error is all 0's, it can only be one.

You are using a hard drive that supports UDMA, which in turn requires an 80pin connector versus the older 40pin. You may have a 40pin connector on your UDMA drive, or you may have a bad cable, or bad connection. Try reseating the IDE cable, or replacing with a known good 80pin.
