Both. I've got 4 PC's, 2 with Pro, 2 with Home. The only difference between Home and Pro is the added network and security features.

XP is built on the NT kernel, much like Win 2000, or Advanced Server. I'm not saying it won't crash, but it shouldn't.

The majority of crashes I've seen are hardware related, whether outdated drivers or a failing component. The bottom line, if your PC is configured correctly, and maintained regularly with anti virus and spywhere removal, XP will give you years of trouble free service
